SG-CP-11-08 Privacy Dignity and Confidentiality

Symmetrical Group recognise the importance of ensuring that each person and customer’s right to privacy, dignity and confidentiality in all aspects of thier business is respected.

Underlying Principles:

• To ensure that each person customer has the same level of privacy, dignity and confidentiality as is afforded to the rest of the Australian community.
• All personal and customer files must be kept secure when not being accessed directly by authorised staff
• Confidential personal and customer files and information is available only to authorised staff for the purpose of assisting the customer in activities relevant to their business with us.
• No unnecessary or irrelevant information is to be requested.
• Symmetrical Group must not request the use of or recording of:
• Tax file numbers (unless legally required to do so)
• Information of the damaging nature
• Unnecessary confidential information

This policy has been reviewed and endorsed by the directors of Symmetrical Group who foresee benefits in, and take responsibility for, its successful implementation. By accepting employment with the Company, each employee accepts that he/she is responsible for the application of this policy.
